Rebels Battle to 13-13 Tie Against Texas Eagles

The Rebels took the field with something to prove—and they delivered. Facing off against the Texas Eagles, last season’s second-place team, the Rebels fought to a thrilling 13-13 tie in a game that kept the crowd on their feet from the first pitch to the final out.

Defensive Recovery After a Tough Start

After a rocky start where the Eagles scored 8 runs in the 1st inning, the Rebels settled down and gave up only 5 runs in the second, thanks to excellent defensive plays. The outfield showed tremendous hustle and awareness, getting the ball in quickly and stopping extra-base hits. Josiah and Sekani were standouts in the outfield, making key stops that prevented the Eagles from taking the lead late in the game.

Bats on Fire

Offensively, the Rebels couldn’t have asked for more. The lineup came out swinging and put together one of their best hitting performances of the season:

  • Sekani crushed a home run that electrified the dugout.
  • Elijah stayed hot with a double and a single.
  • Josiah added a solid double of his own.
  • Bryson ripped a double deep into the outfield.
  • Rhoads and Kymbal each contributed with timely singles to keep innings alive.

With the score tied at 13-13 in the final inning, the Rebels were just one play away from a walk-off win. A minor baserunning error, however, cost the go-ahead run and the game ended in a deadlock. Despite the missed opportunity, this game marked a major statement from a team that finished 10th last season and just stood toe-to-toe with last year’s runner-up.

Looking Ahead

Next up: a showdown on July 19 against the Angels—the team that handed the Rebels a tough loss to end the regular season. The Rebels are hungry for redemption and ready to turn the tables in this highly anticipated rematch.
